Ghita Erling
Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Ghita has 25 years of experience in corporate and retail banking, transactional banking, and payments. A specialist in change and build, she is the CEO of the Payments Association of South Africa (PASA), where she is leading the transition of the organisation and its functions to a new operating model. In her last role, she was responsible for building and operationalising the payments systems for the Discovery Bank start up. She has served as a director on the boards of BankservAfrica (now PayInc) and SBV Services and has a master’s degree in engineering.

In her spare time, she serves on the Board of a conservation NGO and plays in amateur orchestras and small groups whenever she gets the chance.

Ghita is of the view that developing people is the most lasting impact she can make on the business world: structures and businesses can change quickly, but confident and effective people will be valued wherever they go.
